Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of connecteducation.net and the Connect Education resource library (together, the "Service"), provided by Connect Education Inc. ("Connect Education," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a school or district, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

 

If a school or district has signed a separate written agreement, quote, or purchase order with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

 

1. Who the Service Is For

 

The Service is a business-to-business subscription for K-12 schools and school districts in the United States ("Subscribers") and the teachers and staff they authorize ("Users"). Access is granted through the Subscriber's administration. The Service is not intended for students or for individual consumers, and students should not be given User accounts.

 

2. Accounts

 

  • Each User account is for one named individual. Do not share login credentials or let others use your account.

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@connecteducation.net if you suspect unauthorized use.

  • Subscribers may add or remove Users within their licensed seat count and must tell us when a User leaves or is no longer authorized.

 

3. License to Use Resources

 

The Service includes lesson plans, slide decks, worksheets, quizzes, tests, answer keys, reading worksheets, vocabulary materials, bell ringers, and other curriculum resources ("Resources").

 

License granted. Subject to these Terms and an active, paid subscription, we grant each Subscriber, and its authorized Users, a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access, download, use, and adapt the Resources for classroom instruction within the licensed school or district during the subscription term.

 

What you may do. Users may:

 

  • Print and copy Resources for their own students;

  • Edit or adapt Resources for their own classes;

  • Share Resources with their students through the school's password-protected learning management system or other closed classroom channels; and

  • Share Resources with other authorized Users at the same licensed school or district.

 

What you may not do. You may not:

 

  • Sell, resell, license, or otherwise commercially exploit any Resources or adapted versions of them;

  • Post Resources on any public website, file-sharing service, or marketplace (such as Teachers Pay Teachers), or on any site that can be accessed without a password;

  • Share Resources, accounts, or download links with anyone outside the licensed school or district, including teachers at other schools or districts not covered by the subscription;

  • Post answer keys or tests where students or the public can access them;

  • Remove copyright notices or Connect Education branding from Resources; or

  • Use automated tools to bulk-download, scrape, or copy the Service.

 

Resources downloaded during the subscription term may continue to be used for classroom instruction at the licensed school or district after the term ends, unless the subscription is terminated for breach or refunded under the 30-day satisfaction guarantee in Section 4.

 

4. Subscriptions, Payment, and Renewal

 

Plans and pricing. Subscription scope (courses, seats, and schools) and fees are set out in your quote, order form, or invoice. Each subscription runs for a 12-month term unless your order states otherwise.

 

Payment. We invoice Subscribers for the subscription term. Invoices are due net 30 days from the invoice date. Payment may be made by bank transfer/ACH or check, and we accept district purchase orders. We do not take online card payments. Fees do not include taxes; tax-exempt Subscribers should provide documentation of their exemption.

 

Renewal. Subscriptions do not renew automatically. About 60 days before the end of the term, we will send a renewal quote. The subscription renews only if the Subscriber accepts the quote or issues a new purchase order. Price changes apply only at renewal and will be shown in the renewal quote.

 

30-day satisfaction guarantee. If a school or district is not satisfied with its first subscription term with Connect Education, it may request a full refund by sending written notice to support@connecteducation.net within 30 days after access to the Service is first provided. This guarantee applies to new Subscribers only and does not apply to renewals. When a refund is issued, access to the Service ends, and the Subscriber agrees to stop using and to delete all Resources downloaded under the subscription, and to have its Users do the same.

 

Refunds. Other than under the 30-day satisfaction guarantee above, fees are non-refundable once access to the Service has been provided. However, if Connect Education ends the Service or materially fails to provide it, we will refund the prepaid fees for the unused portion of the term on a pro-rated basis. Because subscriptions do not auto-renew, no action is needed to avoid being billed for another term.

 

Late payment. We may suspend access if an invoice is more than 60 days past due, after notice to the Subscriber. Access will be restored once the overdue amount is paid.

 

5. Intellectual Property

 

The Service and all Resources, including text, graphics, images, designs, logos, and the selection and arrangement of content, are owned by Connect Education or its licensors and are protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited license in Section 3, no rights are granted to you. "Connect Education" and related logos are our trademarks.

 

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

 

If you believe any material on the Service infringes your copyright, please email support@connecteducation.net with a description of the work, its location on the Service, and your contact information.

 

6. Acceptable Use

 

You agree not to:

 

  • Use the Service in violation of any law or school or district policy;

  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or areas of the Service you are not authorized to access;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or introduce malware;

  • Reverse engineer or copy the Service, except as permitted by law;

  • Upload student personal information or other sensitive data to the Service, except as agreed in writing with us; or

  • Use the Service to build a competing product.

 

7. Third-Party Links and Tools

 

Resources may link to or reference third-party websites and tools, such as Quizlet, Blooket, YouTube, or simulation sites. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content, availability, or privacy practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. Schools are responsible for reviewing third-party tools against their own policies before using them with students.

 

8. Accuracy and Educational Judgment

 

We work to keep Resources accurate and aligned with their stated courses. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing Resources before use and for deciding what is appropriate for their students, curriculum, and local standards. Safety-related Resources (for example, first aid, health, agriculture, laboratory, and driver education materials) are educational content only. They are not a substitute for professional training, certification, medical advice, or official instruction required by law.

 

9. Disclaimers

 

The Service and Resources are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Resources will meet any particular standard or produce any particular educational outcome.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connect Education will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue, arising from or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the fees paid by the Subscriber to Connect Education for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

 

Some jurisdictions, including some that govern public schools, do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

 

11. Suspension and Termination

 

We may suspend or terminate a User's access, or a Subscriber's subscription, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, for example through unauthorized sharing or public posting of Resources. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first. Subscribers may choose not to renew at the end of any term, or terminate as provided in their order or written agreement.

 

When a subscription ends, User access to the Service ends. Sections 3 (restrictions), 5, 9, 10, 12, and any accrued payment obligations survive termination.

 

12. Governing Law and Disputes

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, unless a different governing law or venue is required by law for a public school or district or is agreed in a signed agreement with the Subscriber. Before filing any claim, each party agrees to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other.

 

13. Changes to These Terms

 

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify Subscribers by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Changes will not apply retroactively and will not change the fees for a subscription term already paid. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

 

14. General

 

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order or written agreement with the Subscriber, are the entire agreement about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
